Rethinking forest management

William Métivier

Born from the vision of William, a forest engineer, and his brother John, both passionate about forests and innovation, Forair combines field expertise with cutting-edge technology to modernize forestry.

Since 2022, our team of professional foresters has contributed to innovative projects such as drone-based reforestation, the conversion of heating systems to biomass, the development and optimization of carbon offset projects, and the analysis of fibre supply basins for emerging bioenergy facilities.

Today, we channel all this expertise into developing an application dedicated to enhancing the value of Quebec’s private forests, the first of its kind in Canada, to promote proactive and sustainable forest management.

More than a technological project, Forair embodies a movement driven by committed landowners, proud to contribute to Quebec’s prosperity and to the fight against climate change. Together, we are shaping the forestry of tomorrow.

Supported by a multidisciplinary team and by the Fédération des producteurs forestiers du Québec, Forair aims to become the leading reference for private forest owners across Quebec.
